The MVI56-PDPMV1 is a PROFIBUS DP-V1 master interface module designed by Prosoft Technology and sub-branded by inRAx®. This module is made for compatibility with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation ControlLogix processors that are parts of bigger systems for control and monitoring placed in an industrial environment. The inRAx® master interface module uses the PROFIBUS DP-V1 communication protocol.
The module uses the debug/configuration port as the main interface and the RJ45 to DB-9 M/6 FT RS-232 as the connection cables. The power supply which is used for this module includes a backplane current load of 800 milliAmps at 5.1 Volts DC. One characteristic of this MVI56 module is that it uses a special DIN rail for mounting.

The module also has indication capabilities through LED indicators for the module status, the status of backplane transfer, application status, the status of error, and serial activity. The MVI56-PDPMV1 module is single slot – 1756 backplane compatible and it has a role of input/output module when connected to a processor.
